How to Use the Dunk Calculator

  1. Player Height (inches):
Enter your height in inches. This is the distance from the ground to the top of your head. If you’re unsure of your height in inches, you can easily convert it from feet to inches by multiplying the number of feet by 12 and then adding the remaining inches.Example: If you are 5 feet 10 inches tall, enter 70 (5 x 12 + 10).
  2. Standing Reach (inches):
Enter your standing reach in inches. To measure your standing reach, stand straight and raise one arm as high as possible without lifting your heels. Measure from the ground to the tip of your fingers.Example: Most people have a standing reach between 85 and 95 inches.
  3. Vertical Jump Height (inches):
Use the slider to select your vertical jump height in inches. This is how high you can jump from a standstill. If you’re not sure, try jumping and measuring how high you can reach, then subtract your standing reach.Example: Many people can jump between 20 and 30 inches.
  4. Basketball Hoop Height:
Choose the height of the basketball hoop you’re aiming for. The standard hoop height is 10 feet (120 inches), but you can adjust this if you’re practicing on a lower hoop.Options include: 10 feet (120 inches), 9 feet (108 inches), and 8 feet (96 inches).
  5. Unit System:
Choose the measurement system you prefer. The calculator supports both Imperial (inches) and Metric (centimeters). Choose Imperial if you’re more familiar with inches and feet, or Metric for centimeters and meters.
